Cort Spellman, Head Coach Cort Spellman is a Mathematics M.S. student from Burleson, TX. Spellman became head coach of the Texas A&M Powerlifting Team in August 2006. He also serves on the following coaching staffs:

Ashley Awalt, Assistant Coach Ashley Awalt graduated with B.S. degrees Biomedical Science and in Nutrition Science in 2007, and is now completing a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. From Houston, TX, Awalt is a multi-time National Champion, World Silver-Medalist, and bench press World-Record-holder. She also has a degree in nutrition and works with all team members on their diets. |

Jake Carney, Assistant Coach From Tyler, TX, Jake Carney is a personal trainer, Collegiate National Champion, and Texas A&M Powerlifting’s 2008-2009 MVP. He is constantly exploring improved means of pre-habilitation and he works with all Aggie Lifters on injury-prevention and mobility. In addition, Jake sets high standards for everyone around him in the gym, and is extremely dedicated to the success of A&M Powerlifting. |

Dustin Witte, President, Captain Dustin Witte is a senior animal-science major from Karnes City, TX. He is a two-time National Champion and member of the United States Junior World Team and Junior World Deadlift-Gold-Medalist. Dustin leads by example at Texas A&M and frequently speaks to FCA groups and gives lifting displays in his home town. |

Kayla James, Treasurer Kayla James graduated a semester early from Gatesville High School and came to A&M in the middle of the 08 – 09 year. A sophomore accounting major, she handles the team’s finances and coordinates all of the team’s sponsorship and fundraising, including judging high school meets. |

Bryanna Alba, Risk Management Officer, Captain Bryanna Alba is a sophomore sociology major from Laredo, TX. She keeps track of practice attendance and ensures that all University regulations are observed. |
